1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Headroom ("the Platform"), operated by supersonics.fm ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Platform.

2. Description of Service

Headroom is a booking platform that connects clients with recording studios. We facilitate the booking process, payment collection, and communication between clients and studio operators. We do not own or operate the studios listed on our platform.

3. User Accounts

When using our Platform:

  • You must provide accurate and complete information
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

4. Bookings and Payments

Booking Process:

  • Bookings are subject to availability and studio acceptance
  • A booking is confirmed only after payment of the required deposit
  • Booking holds are temporary and expire if payment is not completed within the specified time

Payments:

  • All payments are processed securely through Stripe
  • Deposit amounts and payment terms are set by each studio
  • Final invoices may be adjusted based on actual session duration

Cancellations:

  • Cancellation policies are set by each studio and displayed at booking
  • Refunds are processed according to the applicable studio's cancellation policy
  • Studios may cancel bookings due to unforeseen circumstances; in such cases, deposits will be fully refunded

5. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
  • Provide false or misleading information
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Platform or servers
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform
  • Use the Platform to harass, abuse, or harm others
  • Violate any studio's rules or policies during sessions

6. Studio Responsibilities

Studios listed on Headroom are independent businesses. They are responsible for the quality of their facilities, services, and staff. Headroom does not guarantee the performance or conduct of any studio. Any disputes regarding studio services should first be addressed directly with the studio.

7. Intellectual Property

The Platform, including its design, features, and content, is owned by supersonics.fm and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission. Your content (project files, session recordings, etc.) remains your property.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
  • We are not responsible for the actions, content, or services of studios
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless supersonics.fm, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Platform or violation of these Terms.

10. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Platform at any time, with or without cause or notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
